Monthly Archives: September 2013

A heartfelt thank you to all of you who participated in this project! It is true when they say “without you, this would not have been possible.”

I think all entries are in, but if there are some that are still travelling the skies, they will be posted here when I receive them.

I received a total of 109 entries from 26 countries! That’s awesome!

Next, I’ll be working on a simple B&W print catalogue and trying very hard to compile all entries into a colour book. The catalogue is the priority but I hope I’ll be able to get the book done for the exhibition. The book will be available for purchase at cost, online. The link will be posted when available.

I’ll also be starting to consider display options for exhibiting all these postcards. I have a pretty good idea how I want to do this, but you are welcome to send suggestions with pics from other exhibitions.

The exhibition is November 6 – 29, 2013 at Britannia Gallery in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

The opening reception is Wednesday, November 6, 6:30 pm – 8:30pm. Everyone is welcome. Light appetizers and non-alcoholic drinks served.

To raise funds to enable me to do a swap and mail catalogues to participants, all postcards will be available for purchase here in Vancouver for $5 each (cash or credit card). No online sales available. Remaining postcards will be swapped and should there the a surplus of funds, they will be donated to the gallery, which is a community gallery.

If you have questions, feel free to post them here.

In the next few days I’ll be still posting mail art postcards postdated no later than September 16. Although the deadline was the 15th, some of you couldn’t take advantage of that post date because it fell on a Sunday. So as long as you dropped your postcard off at the post office on the 16th, once it arrives here in Vancouver, I will post it and it will be exhibited.

Looking forward to last minute scramblers!
